A collection of 80s and 90s Glam metal which is a subgenre of hard rock that combines pop hooks, heavily amplified guitars, and androgynous styles, such as big hair and makeup and is also known as pop metal .

I have been involved in music for a lifetime, having played guitar in the “Normie Rowe & The Playboys,” and currently play bass with Country music’s “Vintage Veteran’s” band.

Join Bill for ‘Breakfast Club’ (Mondays 6-9am) & ‘It’s already Wednesday’ (Wed 9am-12noon)

Bill started out as a comedy writer, actor and stand-up comic from Boston Mass in the USA. He started his acting career in New York and moved to Australia in the eighties.

His Australian credits include work on Comedy Company, The Games, Tonight Live with Steve Vizard, Hey Hey Its Saturday as well as the voice of WC Moore in the animated ABC series Little Elvis and the Truckstoppers.

His work in live theatre includes touring with Marina Pryor in Australian Opera’s West Side Story, Alls Well That Ends Well at the Melbourne Theatre Company and A Midsummer Nights Dream with the Australian Shakespeare Company.

In 1998 he won the award for best radio voice over in Australia for Nando’s Chicken. He has done a wide range of voice narration, which includes seven books currently available on Amazon.

After spending 20 years teaching theatre at Monbulk College, he has retired with his dog Bernie Sanders to live in a cottage by the sea.

I host the ‘On The Road with Campbell’ (Mondays midday to 3pm) & like all types of music. It’s my hope that my program entertains you. I’ll add a little humour as well.

I have lived on Phillip Island for thirty years & worked in the service & tourism industry. Just love the interaction with people.

In recent years my mobility has been compromised with Peripheral Neuropathy. I was looking for a suitable activity to take on… hearing South Coast FM was looking for volunteers… decided to ask Big John (my cousin) about becoming a volunteer and the rest is history!

Afternoon Delight with CJ. (Wednesdays midday to 3pm)

I’m a child of the mid 60’s, early 70’s.

These were formative years for me, musically speaking. And although I have eclectic tastes, I always enjoy going back to my foundations.

I was forced into an early retirement due to ill health and whilst recovering, I heard a station announcement seeking volunteer presenter’s ….. 10 years later, I’m still here having the time of my life!

Researching, preparing and delivering the show stretches my talents and gives me the chance to be creative.

An eclectic mix of music interspersed with community events, and features a small selection of favourites in the ‘listener’s choice’ segment. Music ranges from heavy metal, techno, DJ house thru to reggae, disco and occasional classical . . . but only the best music. NO MUZAK!

He also ‘drives the desk’ with Gladys on Tuesday afternoons & presents on Casey Radio.

I host The South Coast Mix (Sat 2-5pm) and play top 40 hits from the past 50 years. 

Previously, co-hosted Spotlight with Bill, who happens to be my grandfather. Spotlight put the spotlight on a particular genre, artist, album, decade or year. I have always enjoyed the personal feeling about listening to the radio and as a presenter I get to play music I like and talk about topics I like to the world.

The Butcher is back on Breakfast (Fri 6-9am)

I enjoy all types of music which you’ll hear on my programs, but draw the line at heavy metal (I prefer music that has rhythm and vocals that can be understood!).

I also enjoy meeting interesting local people and introducing them and their stories to you on air. It’s all great fun, as well as a great way to give back to the community.

Fran is a Voiceover Artist and long suffering producer of Mike Murray’s “Mike At Midnight”.

Fran introduced “The Laugh” in much of her work and now has many imitators.

An accomplished Vocalist & Bass player, she is also a Fitness & Life coach and Youth Councillor.

I host Memories and More (Sunday nights 6 to 9pm). 

My show is a stroll down memory lane with songs from the good old days! 

Sometimes , I also host This Great Country on Saturday mornings. 

I have been a presenter since 1993 and have worked on a varied range of programs from music to football.

My grandson Jarrod is also a presenter and sometimes he will join me on Memories and More.

Gladys was previously with 3SER FM in Casey.

Graeme hosts ‘The Rhythm Section’ (Monday evenings from 9-11pm). 

He is passionate about community radio, music, the musicians that make it and the inter-connectedness of it all.

I host Ultimate 80s & Nonstop Nineties (Saturday nights from 6-8pm).

Born in the 70s, growing up in the 80s and coming of age in the 90s – I’ve always loved music.

I play guitar (not to an audience) and am widely admired for my music trivia knowledge (a founding member of Motley Crew, regular winners of South Coast FM’s Annual Music Trivia Night).

I live in Inverloch with my family and absolutely love being part of South Coast FM; we’re all very lucky to have such an amazing not-for-profit radio station accessible to our regional communities.

Jarrod leads the Saturday This Great Country team and gets out and about to country music festivals from Victoria to  Queensland with Tamworth in between.

If you see an amazing ute parked below the studio in Inverloch, there’s a fair chance Jarrod is in the building! And yes, he is a third generation Witherow at South Coast FM!

I host South Coast FM’s longest running program, That’s Entertainment (Sunday afternoons 4-6pm).

The program is jam packed with sounds from the theatre scene and great music from stage and screen.

I really enjoy attending plays, musicals, opera and other theatrical events and love sharing the news with listeners about what’s coming up, what’s on and reviewing shows on the local and Melbourne theatre circuits.

Linda hosts Friday Mornings from 9am to midday.

Mal hosts ‘Blues Rock Crossroads‘ (Tuesday evenings from 8 to 10pm).

His program will feature music from Blues, Blues Rock and Rock.

Mal will play the type of music that you want to turn the volume dial to full and beyond.

Mal is also a technical volunteer at the station and enjoys all types of music. There has been some great music written from the 60’s to today and he loves to share it with you, with detailed knowledge on the music he plays.

Richard hosts Wednesday Breakfast (Wed mornings 6-9am).

I’ve loved radio ever since I built my first crystal set when I was 8. I’m a bit of a guitar freak (not that you could tell!) and I love guitar driven music especially from the 70s and 80s, such as the Eagles and Cold Chisel.

Great music puts a shiver down my spine, and can bring tears to my eyes! I’m also a fan of the Album as a music form as it communicates the “culture” and “place” of the artist at that time.

I live on the Bass Coast and consider myself very fortunate! I have opinions on most things and love to wax philosophically.

Rohan hosts 80s Compilation Corner (Friday nights at 9pm).

Growing up in the 80s, I loved various artists albums, as I learnt about so many different artists.

This was the starting stone of my musical journey through life. My first concert was 1927 supported by Boom Crash Opera.

Voice Over Artist, Sally hosts “Sounds Of The 60’s & “Chartbusting 80’s“.

She voices Sponsorship announcements and sweepers when required. A qualified Piano Teacher, Vocalist, she also plays Saxaphone and Guitar.

As a Voice over Artist, Sally also voiced the Sally Faulkner book “All For My Children”.

I have always loved radio – catching the bug early in my teenage years through winning competitions on Triple M and introducing songs on air on the ‘Top 8 at 8’.

I am passionate about promoting the importance of local radio in keeping our communities connected, and offering our kids opportunities that they might not otherwise be exposed to in regional areas.

I also regularly bring you the weather update on weekends, and occasionally I’m allowed into The Breakfast Club!

Tony hosts ‘Roots Rock Reggae’ (Tuesday nights from 6 to 8pm)

A true music aficionado, Tony has a rich history of hosting shows on 3RRR and other Community Radio stations.

“It all started with a tea chest of records collected in Africa.

I rocked up to 3RRR in 1984 and said ‘this music needs to be heard’.

I was interviewed about my travels through Africa seeing bands and then offered a show.

For 8 years, I showcased the best of Africa with reggae, soul, funk, gospel, blues and jazz. It’s all connected!

Since then, I have guested in Sydney on 2SER and in Melbourne on 3PBS.

I have been collecting music for many years and my show comes from this collection.”

She is a big part of the ‘This Great Country’ team. (Saturday mornings 9am to midday).

Will & Stu host ‘Thru Traffic’ (Wed @ 10pm and Sat @ 2pm).

Will and Stu play new Australian music that’s being performed by bands touring the regions right now.  It’s better than they had ever imagined!
