Event of the Year nomination 2023:
The event brought together over 1,500 people with petrol running through their veins and a passion for two-wheeled transportation. Bringing together motorcycle enthusiasts from across the country, it raised money for the Black Dog Ride Foundation, which aims to raise awareness of depression and suicide prevention.
The event brought people together in Leongatha, with Bair Street temporarily closed to accommodate for the event. It featured a plethora of food trucks, entertainment and activities for all ages so it was truly a family-friendly event.
The added benefit of events like this is for the local businesses that opened on the day and welcomed their patronage.
While shining a light on mental illness and the impacts of suicide, Biketoberfest illustrates a commitment to promoting safety, education and responsible bike riding whilst encouraging alternative transportation methods. By bringing together people from all walks of life, it provides a safe space for everyone to share in the spirit of camaraderie, celebration and appreciation for motorcycles.
