Fishy Stories festival @ Fish Creek

The popular Fishy Stories returns to Fish Creek for a one-day celebration of storytelling magic.

This much-loved festival brings together a world of stories and creativity for children and families, featuring acclaimed authors, such as Alison Lester, Ben and Andrew from the Real Pigeons and the always lively Andrea Rowe.

This year’s special performance – the only ticketed event, features Dr Hubble, Australia’s favourite bubble man. Dr Hubble will amaze and delight audiences with his extraordinary bubble creations.

The festival will also include performances of the 2025 Writing Challenge-selected stories, brought to life by the talented team from FAMDA.

Box Wars is back and festival-goers can join in the art of creative destruction where imagination meets cardboard mayhem. A schedule of workshops runs all day and will be led by popular creators Jess Racklyeft, Vikki Connoley, Jane Godwin and Anna Walker.

Adding to the fun, we have roaming buskers, the Invy Horn Jam Band.

The Fishy Stories Festival is a free, family-friendly event celebrating storytellers of all ages.

With something for everyone, it’s a day to explore creativity, connection and the power of imagination for toddlers to teens.
