Foster & District Agricultural Show

The Foster Show is a celebration of agriculture, the foundation of many families and businesses in South Gippsland. We’re proud to offer an event true to what country shows started as – showcasing the best of farming, produce and rural life.

The Foster Showground provides a spectacular venue for our event, with the green rolling hills of South Gippsland and the striking Wilsons Promontory not too far away. The people of Foster have loved their show for over 100 years, and they’re excited to share it with you!

What’s on: Woodchop, exhibit shed, dog high jump, working dog trial, sheep exhibition, horses, giant pumpkin display, fashion stage- mullet competition, Young Farmers Challenge, Calf Classic, ferret racing, vintage tractors, sheaf toss, on-farm challenges, Avenue of Agriculture, photography and more.

There is plenty to keep the kiddies entertained with our free Golden Brick Road showbags, face painting, magic shows and more. Come and check out all the excitement!

WIN BIG WITH A FERRET AT THE FOSTER SHOW

No you don’t have to own a ferret… you don’t even have to touch a ferret! Simply purchase a ferret, give it a name and cheer it on to win on show day!

Get your family, friends or business together to buy one of 25 racing ferrets set to shine on showday ($100 each). If your ferret wins its race, you get you $100 back… if it goes on to win the SG Off Road Ferret Racing Cup, you’ll go home with $1000!
