The First 72 Hours @ Ruby
When a major emergency occurs, emergency services, power companies and relief agencies can experience extremely high demand. While help will arrive as soon as possible, it may take time to reach every community — especially during widespread events such as storms, fires or floods.
That’s why it’s important to be prepared to look after yourself, your household, and your pets for the first 72 hours.
The First 72 Hours is a collaborative emergency preparedness initiative developed by Victorian councils to help communities get prepared, stay informed, and take simple practical steps before an emergency happens.
South Gippsland Shire Council together with the CWA Kardella Branch is bringing the program to Ruby and surrounds for a community workshop and information session on Thursday 27-August | 10.30am at Ruby Hall
Wheelchair accessible, morning tea available for a small donation
