South Gippsland Garden Groups Regional Conference

This is a keenly anticipated annual event where all of South Gippsland’s garden groups/clubs get together and share the highlights of each group’s annual activities, guest speakers, club festivals and horticultural shows and club excursions – members of the public who have an interest in all things gardening are particularly welcome to join in this event – as well as other club members from neighbouring regions.

Each club learns of a new activity or guest speaker that would be of interest or benefit to their own membership group.

Plant Stall & Raffle

9:00 : Meet at the Outtrim Hall for coffee/tea and scones.

10:00 : We have arranged for two local gardens to be open to view – you will need to either car pool or take your own car to visit both gardens. One hour has been allowed for each garden, half of the visitors will visit one garden – the groups swapping over at 11 am to visit the second garden. Mud Maps available for both gardens.

12:00 : LUNCH – Visitors are to provide their own lunch to be eaten at the hall.

1:00 : CONFERENCE BEGINS: GUEST SPEAKER – Mr. Andrew Raper. Andrew is one of the region’s most knowledgeable and entertaining
speakers, specialising in rhododendrons, camellias, hellebores and vireyas. He will also have some of his own plant stock for sale.

2.30–3 pm : AFTERNOON TEA provided courtesy of the Leongatha Horticultural Society.
