“Deep Peace” Choral Concert @ Wonthaggi

Bass Coast Chorale makes its long awaited return to the acoustically beautiful Wonthaggi Town Hall for its second 2023 concert.
The concert title “Deep Peace” is derived from a Gaelic blessing and the emotion of love and peace runs throughout the concert.
A diverse program includes popular 1970’s songs, negro spirituals, three movements from the Vivaldi “Gloria”.
The concert will conclude with excerpts from “The Miners’ Requiem’ , a moving tribute to the thirteen miners who perished in the 1937 twenty shaft disaster.
Mr. Larry Hills, Chorale Director, wrote “The Miners’ Requiem for the 2010 Wonthaggi Centenary.
When: Saturday 25th November. 2 pm to 3.30 pm
Where: Wonthaggi Town Hall, Baillieu St East, Wonthaggi 3995
Entry cost: $20 at door , children under 16 free. Includes afternoon tea
