Manna Gum Community House is hosting a community event for Law Week 2024 with the Gippsland Community Legal Service.
A presentation from lawyers about how to prepare for emergency situations, followed by a question and answer session.
An emergency situation can involve leaving home in a hurry, for example a personal medical emergency, or an extreme weather event.
Lawyers will provide an overview of topics such as emergency plans, documents kits, insurance, trees & fencing, Centrelink, planning law, tenancy, rebuilding and employment.
This is a free event, as part of a program of more than 150 events for Victorian Law Week designed to help you find legal answers to everyday problems, get legal help and learn more about the law.
A free morning tea will be provided for all participants, at the Manna Gum Community Café.
